Now I can't ever again say, “I never win anything”. I took my 9 year old son to a cooking school (kind of like Emeril's show). It cost $30 for both of us to get in. Now that's pretty extravagant for our family. But, when we got there, they loaded us down with great samples and freebies to take home. During the show, they gave away door prizes. I was the second person to win. By the time we left, they had fed us enough to count as a large meal plus I had $100 in gas coupons. That's pretty good for a $30 investment. Of course, the best thing about it was getting to spend time with my 9 year old.
